MARMALADE, the European alternative to Artlogic

Two packages, two ways of handling compliance. MARMALADE is designed in Paris and its data is hosted in France. This table lines up facts, each dated and sourced.

As of 14 September 2026. A cell pointing to the vendor’s documentation is a point we have not verified: we would rather point there than write on a competitor’s behalf. “Not mentioned in the public documentation” is something else: the point was looked for and not found at that date — which says nothing about what the product can do.

Who MARMALADE is for

For a gallery that has to build AML files and issue compliant invoices, margin scheme VAT included. For a gallery whose team does not work in English. And for a gallery that wants to know where its files are: they are in France.

Who Artlogic remains a good choice for

Artlogic has been established in the English-speaking market for a long time, and a large share of London and New York galleries work with it. If your team works in English, and if your habits, catalogue templates and exports are already built around their tool, switching will cost you more than it earns you. Gallery software is judged over ten years, not over a comparison grid.

How migration works

We start from your exports. Artists, works, contacts, sales, images: you send us whatever your current tool can produce, we take it in and we show you the result before you decide anything. Nothing is deleted on your side, nothing is signed in advance. If the migration does not satisfy you, you stop there. And in every case, your data leaves our system in open formats, at any time, without having to ask.
